Meghan’s weird beauty hack

Thrifty Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is slathering her face in porridge to help give her a youthful glow.

The pregnant Duchess reportedly shuns a range of pricey cosmetics in favour of homemade face masks made from breakfast oats.

She whips up a concoction of coconut oil, honey and porridge to exfoliate her skin or uses turmeric in the paste to brighten her complexion, The Sun reported.

Meghan looks to A-list skincare guru Nichola Joss for tips and advice.

Joss revealed: “At-home face masks are amazing, and I fully endorse them. They’re easy, free, and you have full control of the ingredients you’re putting on your skin — which is why most of my clients love them.”

She adds the recipe was coconut oil “to create a soothing paste-like consistency” mixed with turmeric for a skin-boosting, brightening and hydrating mask or rolled oats and honey for an exfoliating treatment.

And Meghan uses a budget product to prevent spots.

She has revealed she can’t live without a $A7 Australian tea tree oil from Thursday’s Plantation.

Meghan confessed: “It’s not the most glamorous thing, but if you get a cut, a mosquito bite, a small breakout, no matter what it is, it’s my little cure-all.

“It’s inexpensive, it’s small enough to carry on, and I bring it with me all the time.”

And her budget beauty regimen doesn’t stop there.

She’s renowned for her radiant complexion and her porridge masks aren’t her only cheap hack.

Meghan’s makeup artist, Daniel Martin — who attended her wedding to Prince Harry — said that the secret behind her glowing skin is Eucerin’s Aquaphor, which costs under $A20.

“Before highlighters, you would do highlighting with Aquaphor, it will give you that same texture, especially in a photo when applied on the high points of the face,” he said.
